Trailshead Lodge Cabins | We offer seven modern cabins and a studio above the business, located right on the Black Hills Snowmobile trail system on Trail #1 giving you access to over 350 miles of groomed and marked trails. | Trailshead Lodge also offers a variety of other activities during the summer and fall months. Our cabins and restaurant are open for deer, elk and turkey hunting seasons. Bring your own UTV and you can start on a trail right from your cabin. In addition, there are a variety of mountain bike and hiking trails available. Or, if you’re simply looking for a relaxing getaway. Trailshead Lodge is a great place to stay. | Down Home Cooking | Trailshead Lodge offers down home cooking for its visitors with a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our grill is open from 7:30am until 6:30pm at night. Some favorites include our biscuits and gravy for breakfast, the Trailshead Burger for lunch and a great steak with all the fixings for dinner. | In addition to great food, we’ve also got a great bar with plenty of cold beer and malt-liquors to drink. Grab a seat at the bar and there will always be a smiling face to greet you. And remember, always drink responsibly. | NOTE: Because we are surrounded by Forest we cannot allow anything that burns wood pellets, wood or charcoal. You may bring your own propane grill. Please do not bring electric appliances. Property is pet friendly with a Pet fee of $25 per night per pet and can be left in room if kenneled. Outside of room must be on leash. |

Trailshead Lodge is located in the beautiful Northern Black Hills on Hwy 85. It is 1 mile from O’Neill Pass – 6683 feet high and 3 miles from the WY border. 21 miles south of Lead 35 miles from Spearfish 35 miles from Newcastle, WY Our Address: 22075 Hwy 85 Lead, South Dakota 57754
Written Cancellation Policy
Prior to 30 days of arrival there is a $106 per cabin fee plus a $25 cancellation fee for reservations during non-holiday/special event timeframes. Reservations cancelled prior to 30 days of arrival during holiday and special events will be charged first night fee, (or $222.60 whichever is greater) per cabin, plus a $25 cancellation fee. | Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival are nonrefundable. NONREFUNDABLE SERVICE FEE CHARGED AT TIME OF RESERVATION. Optional Travel Insurance available at the time of reservation.
Written Deposit Policy
Equivalent of one nights rental is due at the time of booking. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. NONREFUNDABLE SERVICE FEE CHARGED AT TIME OF RESERVATION.

Pets Policy
Pets must be under 20 lbs. Pet fee is $25 per night per pet and can be left in room only if kenneled. Pets must be on leash if outside and cleaned up after.
Other Policy
STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY DEPOSIT: This deposit policy is in effect only for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. First night non refundable deposit at the time of booking. Final payment is due June 1st. NONREFUNDABLE SERVICE FEE CHARGED AT TIME OF RESERVATION. Your reservation is confirmed at the time of booking. Please sign and return the attached contract from BLACK HILLS CENTRAL RESERVATIONS acknowledging our policies. STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY CANCELLATION: This cancellation policy is only in effect for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. If the reservation is canceled prior to June 1, 2024 the one night’s deposit is nonrefundable. If the reservation is canceled on or after June 1, 2024 the entire reservation is non refundable.
